How Garden Bees reduced customer queues during lunch hours

Garden Bees is a cozy lunch restaurant located in the large Business Garden office complex in Vilnius. Thanks to its high-quality and delicious food, the restaurant attracts a large number of guests daily, especially during lunch hours.

Challenge: high customer volume during lunch time

The restaurant serves most of its customers during the short lunch period, so it is particularly important to ensure fast and efficient service. During this busy time, every minute counts - visitors often had to wait in long lines to place their orders, which not only caused inconvenience but also reduced overall guest satisfaction. In addition, the high volume of orders overwhelmed the staff, making it difficult for them to ensure smooth operation and quality service for every guest.

Solution: Greet Orders

The restaurant implemented the Greet Orders solution, allowing guests to place and pay for their orders via a QR code. Now everything runs smoothly and easily. Guests scan the QR code, which opens a virtual menu in their phone’s browser, where they can select their desired dishes and drinks. After choosing the tip amount and paying the bill, the order is automatically sent to the POS system, and receipts are printed for the staff.

Results: faster service and happy customers

  • Efficiency – even with staff shortages, the restaurant can serve the same number of customers.
  • Higher average check – the system makes it easy to offer additional dishes, something waiters don’t always manage to do.
  • More repeat orders – guests can quickly and conveniently place additional orders without waiting for a waiter.
  • Convenience – guests order at their own pace, and waiters don’t have to constantly monitor tables.
  • Customer satisfaction – service is fast and smooth, resulting in happy guests.
  • Fewer mistakes – all orders are recorded in the system, reducing human error.

“Guests order themselves, and we just focus on preparing the food. The Greet system has greatly eased even the busiest times of the day. Both we and our guests are happy,” - Ieva, restaurant director.
